“And yet this were surely a gain to heal men’s wounds by music’s spell.”
-Euripides

The world abruptly shifts. Reeling, we grope for meaning. Staggering, we grasp, and out of the ashes of shock and grief, we find the strands of things that really matter: beauty, love, feeling connected with other people, excellence, seeing beyond ourselves . . . We begin to weave these strands into a tapestry of healing and of new life, and as we weave we find strength and comfort. Even more than ever in these difficult times, beauty does matter.
